The Moien AI! project aims to combine the aspects of innovation and latest advancements in generative AI (GenAI), targeting to connect education stakeholders in Luxembourg in order to have more trained and responsible users of GenAI by engaging the public with science through hands-on GenAI literacy experiences. In our rapidly evolving technological landscape, understanding the fundamentals of GenAI, including applications, benefits, and risks, is more critical than ever, since students are constantly getting more involved and familiarized with GenAI technologies. MOIEN AI! focuses on the whole landscape of GenAI, i.e. knowledge, models, and user interfaces to reimagine education and promote 21st Century skills, such as digital literacy, critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. GenAI serves as an engaging entry point to demonstrate recent digital innovations and spark curiosity about science. The main objectives of MOIEN AI! are to design, plan, and conduct face-to-face hands-on workshops about GenAI at primary and secondary schools in Luxembourg, as well as to design, produce, and disseminate learning materials that can be used at a large scale. The workshop series will run over six months for each school, with monthly school visits to maximize long-term impact. The materials will be open during MOIEN AI! and remain open after the project´s end.
